Abstract
Availability of high data transmission rates (>200 mbps) is one of the main requirements of industrial image processing. This need could only be fulfilled in recent times due to new connection concepts. First of all this paper presents industrial image processing in general, then an operating image processing system using IEEE 1394 will be demonstrated.
