Some remarks on the photoelectroluminescence of ZnS single crystals

Abstract

We have examined the d. c. and a. c. photoelectroluminescence of contacted ZnS single crystals. The crystals could be divided into several groups. At some crystals under the joint action of UV radiation and direct voltage a special lighting phenomenon could be observed, that moved from the positive electrode towards the negative. We deal with the characteristics of this lighting.

Резюме

Исследовалась фото-электролюминесценция контактированных монокристаллов ZnS при возбуждении как постоянным, так и переменным напряжением. Исследованные кристаллы по поведению разделяются на несколько групп. У некоторюх кристаллов под влиянием совместного действия постоянного напряжения и ультрафиолетового облучения обнаружено особое световое явление, движущееся от положительного электрода к отрицательному. Приводятся характеристики этого явления.
