Abstract
In this work the galvanomagnetic coefficients are determined for the case of anisotropic scattering. The scattering anisotropy is described by introducing a relaxation time tensor into the scattering term of the Boltzmann equation. A power series solution of the Boltzmann equation is given according to the powers of the magnetic field for the case when the surfaces of constant energy are ellipsoids. The transport (galvanomagnetic) coefficients are determined for the multiple ellipsoidal energy valley model of semiconductors. This model describes the transport effects inn-type Ge and Si.
