Investigation of theA 3п state of the NH molecule

Abstract

The multiplet splittings observed in theA 3π state of the NH molecule, as a function of the rotational quantum number, deviate from the formulas derived on the basis ofVan Vleck’s theory, can well be interpreted — in good agreement with the measuring results — as the perturbation of the3π state by the1π state as well as by taking into account simultaneously the spin-spin interaction.

Мультиплетные расщелления, наблюдаемые в состоянииA 3П молекулы NH в зависимости от ротационоого квантового числа отличаются от формул, выведенных на основе теории Ван Флека. Их интерпретация возможна возмущением, вызванным в состоянии3П состоянием1П, а также одновременным учетом спин-спинового взаимодействия, причем получается хорошее совпадение с результатами измерений.
