An investigation of multiple spurious discharges in GM-counters

Исследование мультиплетных бторичных разрядов в гм-счетчиках

Abstract

A simple and direct method has been worked out for distinguishing random and systematic “multiplets” in the counting of GM-pulses. This method has been applied to the study of the dependence of the average multiplicity of a GM-pulse on the overvoltage. It has been shown that the rise of the plateau of the counting characteristic is due in great part to the increase of the average multiplicity.

Резюме

Простой и непоередственый метод был разработан для разделения случайных и ситематических мультиплетных ДМ-импульсов. Этод же метод был применен для изученния завизимости средней мультиплетности от перенанряжения ГМ-счетчика. Оказалось, что пв дъем пзато ГМ-счетчиков обусловлен, главным обрасом, возрастанием средней мультиплетности.
