Charged-particle scattering in the presence of an external electromagnetic field

  • Published:
Acta Physica Academiae Scientiarum Hungaricae

Abstract

Charged-particle scattering in the presence of an external electromagnetic field is investigated. For particle acceleration the most favourable process proves to be inverse bremsstrahlung. The order of magnitude of the non-linear inverse bremsstrahlungs crosssection as well as the effect on it of the spins of the particles is estimated.
