Abstract
The partition between dynamics and thermodynamics is today more a pedagogical or historical convenience than a scientific imperative. Processes, bodies and materials have inherent irreversible response features. So the partition looks artificial under the present state of art, ab initio. Resuming work on processes and materials, may we refer our appraisal to I. Gyarmati, whose high views on thermodynamics opened several ways of development.
