Samenvatting
De Nederlandse gezondheid scoort in vergelijking met Europa heel behoorlijk, maar behoort niet tot de top. Door vergrijzing zullen chronische ziekten en daarmee ook de zorgkosten de komende twintig jaar fors toenemen. Gezondheidszorg is kostbaar, maar heeft wel rendement. De levensverwachting van vrouwen neemt in Nederland minder snel toe dan in de landen om ons heen. Daarnaast blijven de gezondheidsachterstanden van kansarme Nederlanders onverminderd groot.
