Het gebruik van motivatievragenlijsten in de behandeling van chronisch verslaafde patiënten

Samenvatting

Sinds enkele jaren voert het Nijmegen Institute for Scientist-Practitioners in Addiction (NISPA) een monitorproject uit bij acht intramurale motivatiecentra (IMC’s) en een monitorproject bij acht dubbele-diagnoseklinieken (DD-klinieken). Een doelstelling van deze projecten is het vergelijken van de gegevens van de klinieken om zo informatie te krijgen over de kwaliteit en uitkomsten van behandeling. Monitoren kan daarnaast gebruikt worden in het directe contact tussen hulpverlener en patiënt. Hierdoor krijgt zowel de hulpverlener als de patiënt meer zicht op de ontwikkelingen van de patiënt tijdens de opname. Uit meerdere studies blijkt dat deze feedback een positief effect heeft op de uitkomst van de behandeling (Lambert e.a., 2005; Sapyta e.a., 2005).
