Samenvatting

Dit artikel beschrijft een deelonderzoek van de Richtlijn Opiaatonderhoudsbehandeling. Daarin is bestudeerd hoe patiënten denken over methadonbehandeling. Wij schetsen de positie van patiënten in richtlijnontwikkeling. Ook gaan wij in op de vraag hoe het perspectief van patiënten kan worden onderzocht. Beschreven wordt in hoeverre de uitkomsten van het deelonderzoek de genoemde richtlijn hebben beïnvloed.

  2. Sommige discussiepunten zijn direct terug te vinden in de RIOB. Zo vond een lid van de cliëntenraad dat verpleegkundigen en artsen patiënten standaard te veel medicatie gaven. Na doorvragen werd aangegeven dat verpleegkundigen te veel meegaan in verslavingsgedrag. Op de vraag hoe verpleegkundigen daar dan anders mee zouden moeten omgaan, volgde een uitgebreide discussie. In de richtlijn worden, als resultaat van deze discussie, tips en trucs beschreven voor het stellen van grenzen aan verslavingsgedrag.
