In april 2009 promoveerde Iris Lansdorp-Vogelaar (i.vogelaar@erasmusmc.nl) aan de Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam op haar onderzoek naar de effecten van dikke darmkanker screening op de volksgezondheid. Dikke darmkanker is de tweede doodsoorzaak aan kanker in Nederland en andere Westerse landen.
