Samenvatting

Functiedifferentiatie is een begrip dat steeds meer genoemd wordt binnen de verpleegkunde. Ook binnen de IC is het een ontwikkeling die actueel is. Zowel differentiatie naar de bovenkant als naar de onderkant van het verpleegkundige beroep. Op de IC van de Isala klinieken in Zwolle wordt gedifferentieerd door bij postoperatieve cardiochirurgische patiënten medium care (MC-)verpleegkundigen in te zetten. Een korte impressie van de achtergrond en de huidige ontwikkelingen.
