Samenvatting

Van de Nederlandse bevolking van 20 tot 60 jaar heeft ongeveer 1 op de 8 personen een verhoogd cholesterolgehalte, 1 op de 5 een verhoogde bloeddruk en 1 op de 3 rookt. Roken is dus de meestvoorkomende risicofactor. Beïnvloeding van deze risicofactoren kan de cardiovasculaire sterfte en morbiditeit aanzienlijk doen verminderen.
