Samenvatting

In 2004 sloten de huisartsen in Engeland een nieuw soort contract met de zorgfinancier. Zij maakten productieafspraken, onder andere rond het leveren van gestructureerde chronische zorg, waarbij de huisartsenpraktijk een extra financiële beloning krijgt als tevoren gestelde doelen worden bereikt. De verwachting is dat deze opzet de ontwikkeling van de functie van praktijkverpleegkundige en de innovatie van zorg zal stimuleren. Dit onderzoek bekijkt hoe het contract uitpakt voor de praktijkondersteuner.
