Combinatie van corticosteroïden met een vitamine-D-analoog is de meest effectieve behandeling van psoriasis en plaque

Samenvatting

Context Negentig procent van de psoriasispatiënten heeft psoriasis en plaque (psoriasis vulgaris). Psoriasis heeft een chronisch beloop met exacerbaties en remissies en kan lichamelijk én psychisch erg belastend zijn. De NHG-Standaard Psoriasis beveelt na ontschilferende therapie als eerste stap een klasse-3-corticosteroïd of een vitamine-D-analoog (calcipotriol) aan. De tweede stap is het nog niet gebruikte middel van de eerste stap. Als derde stap adviseert de standaard een combinatietherapie van calcipotriol en een klasse-3-corticosteroïd. Nog later kan de huisarts klasse-4-corticosteroïden of ditranol overwegen.
