Samenvatting

Internet wordt steeds vaker ingezet bij de monitoring van chronische ziekten. In de regio Leiden onderzocht men het effect van begeleiding via internet bij astma. Uit 37 huisartsenpraktijken en 1 buitenpoli selecteerden de onderzoekers 200 mensen tussen de 18 en 50 jaar oud, die 3 maanden of langer inhalatiecorticosteroïden gebruikten, Nederlands spraken en beschikten over een internetverbinding.
