Samenvatting

De NHG-Standaard Acuut hoesten (2003) beveelt eenmalige toediening van corticosteroïden aan bij matig ernstige pseudokroep. De keuze zou gaan tussen orale of intramusculaire toediening van dexametason (0,15 mg/kg) of inhalatie van 2 mg budesonide per jetvernevelaar, dan wel 5 tot 10 pufjes corticosteroïd per dosisaërosol met voorzetkamer.
