Samenvatting

Dat overgewicht en astma samenhangen, wisten we al. En dat televisiekijken een belangrijke risicofactor is voor het ontstaan van overgewicht bij kinderen, wisten we ook al. Desondanks vonden de onderzoekers van de ALSPAC-studie, een groot cohort van jonge kinderen in Engeland, het de moeite waard om te kijken of de duur van het televisiekijken door jonge kinderen gerelateerd is aan het ontwikkelen van astma.
