Samenvatting

De alleroudste dokters onder ons herinneren zich wellicht nog de tijd dat de rubrochinonrecepten met regelmaat over de spreekkamertafel gingen; de laatste decennia is daar door de toegenomen nadruk op informed consent bij de behandeling(sovereenkomst) evenwel aanzienlijk de klad in gekomen. Amerikaanse onderzoekers gingen na hoe het heden ten dage met het voorschrijven van placebobehandelingen is gesteld.
