Den Haag krijgt leerstoel Public Health

Samenvatting

De gemeente Den Haag heeft een bijzondere leerstoel ‘Public Health’ verworven bij het Leids Universitair Medisch Centrum (LUMC). De leerstoel is vooral gericht op het verbeteren van de gezondheid van groepen in achterstandsituaties. Barend Middelkoop, hoofd Epidemiologie van de GGD Den Haag en bekend onderzoeker op dit terrein, is benoemd voor een periode van vijf jaar.
