Abstract

Diabetes mellitus type 2 is ‘hot’: overal in het land worden controlesystemen opgezet waarbij de huisarts zijn inbreng kan hebben in samenwerking met andere gezondheidswerkers. De NHG-Standaard Diabetes mellitus type 2 is herzien en geeft ook een aantal nieuwe gezichtspunten. Daarover een volgende keer meer. Eerst constateren we aan de hand van een casus dat de aandoening meestal niet uit de lucht komt vallen. Daar zitten aanknopingspunten voor interventie!
