Samenvatting

Volgens een recent rapport van de Amerikaanse Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality is er nog maar heel weinig bewijs voor de effectiviteit van financiële beloningen voor kwaliteit van de zorg (quality-based purchasing).1 Het achterliggende idee van deze manier van zorg inkopen is dat als je hulpverleners een worst voor houdt, de zorg vanzelf beter wordt.
