Samenvatting

Achtergrond Hoewel de klinische effectiviteit van antidepressiva bij de behandeling van depressies bij patiënten met dementie niet aangetoond is, worden zij toch vaak voorgeschreven. Veel trials zijn te klein om goede schattingen te geven van de bescheiden effecten die reëel verwacht mogen worden. Het samenvoegen van de informatie uit de verschillende trials zou het te verwachten effect beter zichtbaar kunnen maken.
