Samenvatting

Fibromyalgie is geen ziekte. De medisch-somatische benadering van dit probleem, zoals beschreven in dit nummer,1 is dus een doodlopende weg. De diagnose is natuurlijk wel te stellen als men zich aan de afspraken houdt, maar het heeft geen nut dat te doen. Het is zeker minder schadelijk en waarschijnlijk vruchtbaarder fibromyalgie te zien als een van de vele functionele syndromen.
