Samenvatting

De WONCA publiceerde vorig jaar – net als de Nederlandse huisartsen – een nieuwe omschrijving van het werkterrein van de huisarts. Begin maart namen 74 deskundigen uit 36 landen deze omschrijving als uitgangspunt voor een plan om huisartsgeneeskundig onderzoek te stimuleren. Onderzoek heeft als doel gezondheid en welbevinden te verbeteren, zo verklaart deze WONCA-groep op de WONCA-website (http://www.globalfamilydoctor.com).
