Samenvatting

De Nederlandse Vereniging van Verpleeghuisartsen (NVVA) publiceerde onlangs haar richtlijn Probleemgedrag. Hierin komen de diagnostiek, behandeling, controle en preventie van probleemgedrag bij ouderen aan de orde. De aanbevelingen zijn gebaseerd op consensus en een niet precies omgeschreven en wat oudere literatuur-search. De richtlijn is in eerste instantie bedoeld voor patiënten in het verpleeghuis. Ook huisartsen hebben van tijd tot tijd met probleemouderen te maken.
