Met dit boek kan de Nederlandse huisarts beschikken over een overzicht van zowel de weke-delenaandoeningen als de inflammatoire aandoeningen van het bewegingsapparaat. Het is systematisch opgezet en geeft bij de meeste hoofdstukken leesadviezen. Het inleidende hoofdstuk over de anamnese en het onderzoek is een juweeltje. Voor het overige verschilt de kwaliteit van de hoofdstukken nogal. Meestal sluit het geadviseerde beleid aan bij de NHG-standaarden (bij de elleboog nadrukkelijk niet).
