Samenvatting

A bundle of short articles by multiple authors give an impression of new developments in the Netherlands in the field of physical environment and health. The articles describe the threatening shortage of specialized medical doctors and the need for a better educational infrastructure for all specialized workers in this field. To improve the gap between academic research and practitioners of municipal health departments, so-called Academic Workplaces have been started, where specialized practitioners also have an academic function and academic researchers take practical questions as a starting point for their research. In this article, the research projects of the Academic Workplace Environment and Health are described.
