Abstract
Big!Move: health in motion To most people health and effective functioning are the most important values in their lives. However, for many, maintaining and improving these values is not always easy. Especially people with health problems like the chronically ill, the aged, children and people with a low socioeconomic status are less able to influence, control, change or improve their health situation. In spite of their desire to achieve good health, it is often difficult to feel or act healthy. The Big!Move program aims at getting people ‘on the move’, either alone or in groups. ‘Moving’ and physical activity in this method intend to be both the means as well as the aim to improve health and effective functioning.
