Samenvatting

Preventie en bevordering van participatie zijn centrale thema’s in de sociale gezondheidszorg. Het is het dagelijks werk van organisaties, zoals GGD’en, Thuiszorginstellingen, Arbo-diensten en UWV. En het is werk dat ondersteund wordt door een scala aan instellingen, bijvoorbeeld ministeries - VWS en SZW -, RIVM, ZonMw als financier, koepelorganisaties zoals de Nederlandse Public Health Federati, en internationale organisaties zoals de WHO. Het leerboek Volksgezondheid en Gezondheidszorg, net weer geactualiseerd biedt van dit veld een goed overzicht.1
