Samenvatting

De kanaalbehandeling van bovenpremolaren stelt de tandarts over het algemeen niet voor grote problemen. Hoewel de wortels vaak lang en slank zijn, zijn de wortelkanalen meestal goed te reinigen en te vullen. De eerste bovenpremolaar heeft vaak twee wortelkanalen; de tweede bovenpremolaar meestal maar één. Driekanalige premolaren zijn zeldzaam. De kanaalbehandeling van zo'n driekanalig element kan echter lastig zijn. In deze bijdrage wordt stilgestaan bij deze anatomische variant.
