Personality disorders in adolescents

Personality disorders can be diagnosed in adolescents in a reliable way. In clinical practice, resistance against diagnosing personality disorders in adolescents is substantial. In this article we illustrate a diagnostic process by presenting a case study in which personality pathology might be present. This process leads to a dynamical diagnostic formulation demonstrating the interaction between developmental history, personality disorder, environment and developmental phase.
