‘Protocollair’, ‘bewezen werkzaam’, ‘kosteneffectief’ en ‘kort’: met deze marketingterminologie weet de Vereniging voor Gedragstherapie en Cognitieve therapie (VGCt) de nationale ‘geestelijke-gezondheidsmarkt’ in hoog tempo naar zich toe te trekken. Die groeiende dominantie wordt vanaf de zijlijn mokkend gade geslagen door leden en bestuurders van andere therapeutische verenigingen. Met een mix van afgunst en bewondering vragen zij zich af hoe het toch mogelijk is dat het hun cognitief-gedragstherapeutische broeders en zusters veel beter dan henzelf lukt om het eigen product bij de zorgverzekeraars in de etalage te zetten.
