Samenvatting

In deze richtlijn1 wordt de argumentatie opgesomd ter mogelijke ondersteuning van vroegtijdig vaststellen van de diagnose COPD op basis van een screeningsprogramma waarbij de FEV1 (geforceerd uitgeademd volume in 1 seconde) gemeten wordt. Het Global Initiative for Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease (GOLD) onderscheidt vier stadia bij COPD op basis van de FEV1:
