Samenvatting
Traditioneel wordt door inzichtgevende psychotherapeuten veel belang gehecht aan de kwaliteit van de therapeutische relatie. Zowel binnen het psychoanalytische referentiekader als binnen dat van de cliëntgerichte therapie wordt de therapeutische relatie gezien als een essentieel bestanddeel van de behandelingsmethode. Een dergelijke nadruk op de therapeutische relatie is lange tijd opvallend afwezig geweest binnen de gedragstherapie.
