Abstract

In 2005 is het Nederlands Instituut voor Neurowetenschappen (nin) opgericht door twee eerdere knaw-instituten, het Nederlands Instituut voor Hersenonderzoek en het Interuniversitair Oogheelkundig Instituut (ioi) te fuseren. Het nin is gevestigd op het amc-terrein in Amsterdam. Neuropraxis interviewde de net aangetreden algemeen directeur professor dr. Pieter Roelfsema.

  1. Voor de volledigheid voegen we toe dat de term ‘neglect’ veel breder gebruikt wordt en bijvoorbeeld ook van toepassing is als de hersenen door een infarct de spieren van één lichaamshelft niet meer aansturen en als het ware verwaarlozen.
