Abstract

Gedrag hangt sterk af van de context waarbinnen het zich afspeelt. In het vakgebied dat in de internationale literatuur aangeduid wordt als ‘sociale neurowetenschap’ onderzoekt men de effecten van de interactie tussen gedrag en gezondheid binnen hun context. Er wordt aandacht besteed aan effecten van sociaal economische factoren, riskante gezinnen en van sociale steun. Aan deze effecten worden conclusies verbonden voor de ggz wat betreft de huidige dominante biologische visie in de psychiatrie, de plaats van de context in de behandeling, de zorg voor chronische patiënten en de werkomstandigheden van de medewerkers.
