Abstract

In dit artikel worden de effecten beschreven van verslavende stoffen op de neurotransmittersystemen in de hersenen en nieuwe inzichten op het gebied van verslaving, die onder andere zijn verworven door middel van onderzoek met moderne beeldtechnieken. Tevens wordt de farmacotherapie voor alcohol- en drugsverslaving behandeld.
