Samenvatting

Het traditionele medisch onderwijs en de medische opleiding bestaan uit twee gedeelten. In het eerste gedeelte worden zeer veel verschillende onderdelen van de basiswetenschappen en de klinische praktijk behandeld. In het tweede gedeelte wordt zorg gedragen voor patiënten. Dit begint vaak als coassistent met het meekijken met artsen al dan niet in opleiding en het onder strenge supervisie ‘zelfstandig’ anamnese afnemen en onderzoeken van patiënten. Als arts-assistent al dan niet in opleiding tot specialist wordt dit voortgezet, inclusief de initiële fase van diagnostiek en behandeling,
