Arbeidsongeval leidt ook tot psychische schade

Samenvatting

Een derde van de slachtoffers van een arbeidsongeval rapporteert psychische schade. De kans op langdurig verzuim en hoge kosten voor de werkgever is beduidend groter bij psychische schade dan bij lichamelijke schade. Dit blijkt uit de Nationale Enquête Arbeidsomstandigheden (NEA) die TNO heeft uitgevoerd. Hierin is gevraagd naar geestelijke schade als gevolg van een arbeidsongeval.
