Noem een constructie een brug en de patiënt voelt zich happy met de voorziening. Maar noem dezelfde constructie een prothese en de patiënt voelt zich er ouder door worden. Toch is de implantaatgedragen gebitsprothese hetzelfde als de uitneembare implantaatbrug. Een kwestie van naamgeving met vérstrekkende gevolgen.
