Samenvatting
Er zijn vele verschillen tussen handtandenborstels waarvan het type borstelharen één aspect is. Bekend is het onderscheid in hard, medium en zacht. Tegenwoordig is er ook nog verschil in de vorm van de haar, zoals verkreukeld, gespleten punt of, zoals in dit onderzoek, een tapstoelopende borstelhaar. De idee is dat de haren zacht zijn en zo dun aan het uiteinde dat ze ook onder het tandvlees komen en beter approximaal reinigen. Verder staan bij sommige borstel de haren kruislings opgesteld.
