Als er een of meer gebitselementen ontbreken, kan de patiënt uit meerdere oplossingen kiezen. Een mogelijke keuze is een uitneembare partiële prothese. Vanwege doorbraken in de kennis over thermoplasten, staat de tandarts sinds kort een nieuwe optie ter beschikking: de tcs thermoplastische nylonprothese.
