Samenvatting
De meeste antibiotica worden voorgeschreven in de eerste lijn en het merendeel hiervan voor luchtweginfecties. Klinische richtlijnen ontraden routinematig voorschrijven van antibiotica bij bovensteluchtweginfecties, keelpijn/keelontsteking en otitis media acuta. Lagere luchtweginfecties worden onderverdeeld in acute bronchitis – waarvoor antibiotica niet worden aanbevolen – en pneumonie, waarvoor antibiotica wel worden geadviseerd.
