Samenvatting

De huidige richtlijnen voor de behandeling van acute lage rugpijn verschillen in Australië niet van die bij ons. Als overigens gezonde mensen zich melden met lage rugpijn dan is – nadat voldoende diagnostisch onderzoek is verricht – het beleid doorgaans om mensen aan te raden vooral actief te blijven en liever geen bedrust te houden.
