Samenvatting

Professionele kennis van dementie en van zorgmethoden is nodig om goede zorg te kunnen bieden aan mensen met dementie. In Japans onderzoek (Kazui e.a., 2008) is nu aangetoond dat ook de kwaliteit van leven van mensen met dementie in institutionele settingen hoger is als zorgverleners over meer professionele kennis beschikken.
