Samenvatting
Ondanks de positieve attitude van de fysiotherapeut tegenover evidence based practice (EBP) zijn de implementatiestrategieën van EBP in zijn dagelijks handelen wisselend succesvol. De kans op slagen van de implementatie hangt samen met een aantal barrières. Op basis van literatuurstudie zijn deze barrières in kaart gebracht en voorgelegd aan een focusgroep met deskundigen op het gebied van EBP. Hun is gevraagd aan te geven wat de oplossing zou zijn voor deze barrières. De specifieke oplossingen per barrière variëren tussen concrete direct toepasbare adviezen, en de oprichting van een nieuw beroep.
Concluderend kan worden gesteld dat de kloof tussen ‘evidence’ en ‘practice’ overbrugbaar is door nauwere samenwerking tussen betrokken partijen op verschillende fronten, zoals beroepsbeoefenaren, beroepsvereniging, opleidingen en onderzoekers.
