Samenvatting
De diagnose en behandeling van laterale voetpijn is vaak moeilijk. De differentiële diagnoses zijn talrijk, waaronder ossale afwijkingen, verstuikingen, perifere mononeuropathieën en raduculopathie. Een oorzaak van laterale voetpijn die vaak over het hoofd wordt gezien is het sinus tarsi-syndroom. Uit een literatuuroverzicht blijkt dat men, zelfs als de diagnose sinus tarsi-syndroom gesteld wordt, niet nader ingaat op de biomechanica van de voet en enkel.
