Samenvatting
De Commissie Hoofdpijnclassificatie van de International Headache Society heeft kort geleden herziene diagnostische criteria gepubliceerd voor hoofdpijnklachten. Volgens deze criteria kan spanningshoofdpijn worden onderverdeeld naar gelang er afwijkingen aan de pericraniale musculatuur worden gevonden. De aan- of afwezigheid van afwijkingen aan de pericraniale musculatuur werd vastgesteld door palpatie van de spieren op gevoeligheid of door het meten van elektromyografische (emg) activiteit.
