Summary

In geriatric rehabilitation core elements of geriatric medicine are represented. Due to the growing number of frail elderly geriatric rehabilitation is an emerging field. The training course “kaderopleiding gerontorevalidatie” focuses on competences and strengthens the expert-role of geriatric rehabilitation specialists.

Samenvatting

In het aandachtsgebied geriatrische revalidatie komen verschillende kernelementen van verpleeghuisgeneeskunde bij elkaar. De vraag naar revalidatiezorg voor ouderen met comorbiditeit en verminderde belastbaarheid zal verder toenemen door de vergrijzing. In de kaderopleiding gerontorevalidatie wordt competentiegericht onderwijs aangeboden om de ontwikkeling naar de rol van expert te ondersteunen.
